Poetry Corner!

Yeah, so, it's been a while.

So I've got lots going on at the moment. Aside from the other projects I'm working on, I've started a poetry page on Instagram. It's going really well and since the end of March I've managed to post 50+ poems on there. It's pretty good going for me, but I must admit it's not my most interrogated work. They're pretty much mostly cobbled together in about an average of half an hour. Sometimes I have an idea I want to investigate, other times it's just an image that provokes some writing. All in all, I've loved doing it. It's a great exercise as a writer. I feel like it's the equivalent of a runners stretches before a race. I also feel like as a fairly new writer, I need to put in the work to get to the good stuff. The first thing that comes to a writers mind is always the most obvious, this is a good way of getting that stuff out of the way, while still being of some value. For me, Instagram is a great tool here as it's getting me some followers that later I'll be able to promote my books to.
